We Found Our Forever...
The Day we waited a lifetime for...
Thank you for being you. Thank you for reflecting a unique diamond facet of the heart of our Father. You move Him like no one else. Thank you for loving us well and being a part of our story. We are on an adventure to discover what happens when our sole pursuit in life is love.
We stand in awe of a God who defines what Perfect love really is... who smiles with a Love which heals...who embodies a Love never fails. Love wins. When The Father restores, it is even better than before. In our journey, we are discovering how sometimes, He really does save the best wine for last!
Matthew 22:1 narrates a parable of the wedding feast and how “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son.” Our dream is to host our family of friends for a glory-filled, Song of Solomon-themed, prophetic, presence, worship festival, foreshadowing our wedding feast to come when we get to marry The Only One who is Worthy.
For years, my maid of honor Sarah would pray every single day for my husband at 2:22 (Isaiah 22:22, Matthew 22:2, Genesis 2:22), so the epic event starts on Saturday May 28th at 2:22pm at the Cascade Theater. Our beloved legends and heroes of the faith Heidi and Rolland Baker will be marrying us. We are thrilled beyond measure to have our spiritual grandparents – Betsy and Chester Kylstra – and Lori and Barry Byrne teach us God’s dream for covenant. Rabbi Jason Sobel will lead us through Jewish wedding blessings. We will laugh a ton during our Bollywood flash mob dance, Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire. We are pinching ourselves with excitement, as Danny will also be ordained into full-time ministry, as a prophetic presbytery will set us on fire for the world to come and watch us burn.
After the ceremony in Redding, the Bakers offered to host a fun second African wedding with all my delightful Mozambican kids next summer in Pemba. Both ceremonies are open to all (with a private, invite-only reception).
The greatest gift we could have at our wedding is your presence.
Thank you for standing in covenant...
...For being our forever family...
For loving us so well.
There is no one else we would rather celebrate this moment with.
All of our love,
Shara and Danny
Gifts & Registry: Sow into Our Love
We have chosen to bypass wedding registry and ask that our friends and family sow into our journey financially. Our dream is to spend the first year of marriage focusing on one another, as husband and wife, following Deuteronomy 24. If we could have any present, it would be time. We want to strengthen our union to one another, minimizing outward ministry to others, so we need your help. But no matter what, please bless us with the gift of your presence!
